The College of Pharmacy at Mercer University is seeking a full-time, tenure-track, 12-month faculty member with research expertise in clinical/translational pharmacology or experimental pharmacotherapeutics, specifically within the area of clinical pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics. 


The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. or Pharm.D./Ph.D. and a record of significant research accomplishments in translational sciences.  The incumbent will be expected to develop and/or maintain a sustainable, extramurally-funded research program, will teach in the Ph.D. and Pharm.D. programs, and will serve as director of the Pharm.D./Ph.D. program.  Post-doctoral training is required and preference will be given to candidates with a Pharm.D./Ph.D. degree.


The College of Pharmacy is located on the Cecil B. Day Campus of Mercer University in northeast Atlanta, Georgia.  The 335 wooded acres of the campus create a serene and secluded atmosphere in close proximity to downtown Atlanta.   The college maintains vibrant relationships with Atlanta-area hospitals and also conducts Phase II-IV clinical studies within our on-campus Center for Clinical Research.  The location is also ideal for fostering collaborative research with investigators at other institutions in Atlanta including Emory University School of Medicine, the Atlanta Clinical and Translational Science Institute, Georgia State University, the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Research laboratory space and a startup package will be provided.
