The successful candidate will be responsible for driving biopharmaceutics strategy in drug product teams and leading the development and applications of predictive preclinical tools including in vitro, in vivo, and in silico models for evaluations of clinical formulations via oral and alternate routes of administration

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Proactively identifying key biopharmaceutics risks at each stage of drug product development, conducting hypothesis-based assessment employing an integrated approach, driving the development of in vitro-in vivo relationship and preclinical-to-clinical translation in bioperformance of formulations, and leading biopharmaceutics support for product filings.
  • Extensive influencing and collaborations with partner functions and groups engaged in preclinical and clinical drug development will be required
  • Close mentorship and coaching of research staff will be expected
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, and demonstrated ability and creativity in solving tough problems are essential



  • PhD in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Science or related field with a minimum of eight (8) years of post-graduate pharmaceutical industrial experience in biopharmaceutics evaluations of clinical formulations
  • Expertise in biopharmaceutics assessment of oral drug delivery and other complex dosage forms utilizing variety of preclinical tools/models (including in vivo, in silico, and in vitro) and clinical studies
  • A track record of scientific publications related to biopharmaceutics is anticipated


  • Experience in biopharmaceutics assessment of alternate routes of drug delivery is highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience in new drug product filing is a plus
