As a Compliance Developer at Merck’s Austin IT HUB, you will be part of inventing tomorrow. Our Innovative centers are where great people come together and deliver solutions that save and improve lives.

We are seeking motivated talent interested in solving problems to improve tomorrow.

You will:

  • Help to ensure that Merck stays compliant with government regulations and corporate policies in a dynamic, changing workspace.
  • Design, develop, test and implement new solutions to existing products.
  • Write technical documentation including, but not limited to high level architecture diagrams.
  • Expand knowledge of established technologies.
  • Interact with multiple external vendors.

You will work and learn more about:

  • Pharmaceutical business
  • Samples management
  • Government transparency reporting
  • Development in various languages including Oracle PL-SQL, Unix/Linux, VB.Net, Teradata
  • Validated systems


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of Oracle PL-SQL & Unix programming
  • Unix/Linux coding
  • End-to-end Software Lifecycle development experience
  • Critical thinking
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Data analysis
  • Incident management
  • Version control
  • Background in corporate or government compliance
  • Knowledge of Informatica, VB.Net, SAS, Teradata
