Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Instrumentation Support: Provide support for installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation (e.g. sensors, transmitters, transducers, etc.) and control loops.
  • PLC Support: Troubleshoot, design, program and implement PLC logic and HMI screens.
  • System Management: Maintain HMI and Historian Administrator to ensure proper alarming, historical data collection and display per regulatory compliance.
  • Network Management: Basic monitoring and maintenance of an industrial controls network infrastructure.
  • Automation Systems Consulting: Makes recommendations on upgrades of existing electrical, controls, and mechanical components/equipment as new technology dictates and identify strengths and weaknesses of current equipment.
  • Project Management: Drive and support various automation design projects. Ensure compliance to technical guidelines and standards on all projects and work.
  • Administration: Update documentation to reflect project updates and changes. Order parts, supplies, and materials to maintain and repair all equipment.


Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience and/or training in computerized process control systems.
  • Working knowledge of electrical theory including the ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics and diagram.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical distribution systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Instrumentation and Process Control Systems.
  • Ability to use electrical test instrumentation (e.g. multimeter, ammeter, megger, etc.) and hand tools to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and basic mechanical issues.
  • Working knowledge of industrial control systems including PLC programming, HMI design and programming, instrumentation, and network infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Allen-Bradley automation systems including Factory Talk, Contollogix, RSLogix .
  • Proficiency with computers, mobile devices, and Microsoft Office software.

Preferred;

  • Previous experience working within a VM environment.
  • Possesses good communication skills, verbal and written, to work with plant personnel and vendors.
