Job Details

The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for two positions in the broad area of pharmaceutical chemistry. The Yousry and Linda Sayed Distinguished Professor of Chemistry is a faculty position at the rank of associate or full professor with tenure. The second position is a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level. A PhD is required. In addition, post-doctoral experience, or significant industrial experience, is required. The successful candidates are expected to maintain excellence in research with vigorous, externally funded programs, and to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, particularly in pharmaceutical chemistry. The candidates are also expected to have a significant influence on the development of our new graduate program with focus in pharmaceutical chemistry. For more information on the department, please visit http://uncw.edu/chem/. The envisioned start date for both positions is August 2018.
