The Ben and Maytee Fisch College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Tyler invites applications to join the faculty in the College of Pharmacy. Appointments are for full-time, tenure-track positions at the assistant, associate, or full professor rank. The positions offer an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, student-centered academic Pharm.D. program. Courses are taught in a team-based learning environment that values personal and professional growth and the development of each student. The curriculum emphasizes self-directed learning, critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills.

Requirements

Faculty, Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics). Successful candidates will have earned a Ph.D. or comparable degree in the pharmaceutical sciences (Pharmaceutics) or related field. A strong background in research and scholarship is expected along with a desire to engage in collaborative research. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, contributing to the development and delivery of the pharmaceutics component of the core classroom, laboratory, and elective courses within the Pharm.D. curriculum, developing and maintaining an independent research program.

 

Faculty, Biomedical Sciences. Successful candidates will have earned a Ph.D. or comparable degree in a field related to biomedical sciences. Responsibilities include contributing to the development and delivery of the biomedical sciences component of the Pharm.D. curriculum, establishing an extramurally-funded research program, mentoring students, and providing service to the College, University, and professional communities. A strong background in biomedical research and scholarship is expected along with a desire to engage in collaborative research. The ideal candidate will have an established record of extramural funding in the biomedical sciences.
