The responsibilities of the Supplier Development and Performance Management Sr. Specialist include developing and executing Systems and Processes to manage Supplier performance. This will include: 
  • Serving as the system administrator for supplier scorecards, Merck’s approved supplier list, Merck’s Supplier Change Management System, Merck’s Supplier Issue Management System, Merck’s Supplier Business Continuation process and Merck’s Supplier Specification Harmonization process 
  • Providing functional requirement specifications for IT systems, understanding system design relationships, appropriate testing strategies and System Development Life Cycle documentation 
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders at all levels of the Company through trainings and presentations 
  • Analyzing Data, applying algorithms and modeling data sets to make informed predictions and recommendations. 


Qualifications
Education Minimum Requirement:
  • BS/BA, preferred in Engineering, Science or Business

 

Required Experience and Skills: 

  • Minimum 5 years experience in commercial, business, quality, technical or manufacturing operations. 
  • Must have strong demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Capable of taking requests from multiple stakeholders and prioritizing them. Must have ability to handle complex challenges in balance with everyday tasks. 
  • Must have demonstrated personal networking and relationship building skills and the ability to work independently and with all levels of the organization. 
  • Must have excellent Microsoft Excel skills, ability to model data sets to make informed predictions and recommendations. 
  • Must be able to create attractive and easy to understand reports or visual presentations from complex data sets 
  • Must have technical flexibility to adapt to constantly changing technologies.

Preferred Experience and Skills: 

  • Knowledge of six sigma methodology, Spotfire, DreamWeaver, Teamspaces, Microsoft Access, Visio and Project. 
  • A thorough knowledge of cGMP's, technical writing skills, data management, SDLC, collection and analysis. 
  • Systems Administration experience 
  • A strong knowledge of and broad experience in Quality Assurance and/or Supplier Management.
