The USML Surgery and Anesthesia Marketing is responsible for all aspects of performance, compliance, growth, profitability and team management for the franchise. The position will report directly to the AVP, US Hospital and Specialty Marketing in the Hospital and Specialty Business Unit.  
Key responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:  
  • US Bridion & Entereg forecasting and financial performance
  • Management of the US Surgery and Anesthesia Marketing Team
  • Ongoing maintenance/development of US brand strategy
  • Coordination/collaboration with Global Marketing team 
  • The USML is responsible for the development and execution of Marketing strategies and plans to maximize sales/income for the HIV franchise.   
  • This position will support and collaborate with the US Sales Organization, Market Access, Medical Affairs, MMD and PDT/MRL, Policy and Regulatory, Legal/Compliance Teams and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the achievement of the portfolio’s business objectives. 
  • The USML is also responsible for US commercial development and lifecycle planning with the MRL product development team and Global Franchise.    
  • Developing talent and coaching is a key responsibility of this position.  
  • The USML is responsible for the development, execution and business performance of the annual profit plan, and 5 year plan and all other key commercial priorities and plans.   
  • Lifecycle Management of the franchise
  • Payer strategies and health care transformation understanding
  • Investor relations
  • Coordination and collaboration with other USMLs within the BU to speed up transformation process in the BU
  • Approximately 25% Travel


  • Required:  BA/BS
  • Preferred:  MA/MS/MBA 

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including Sales, Marketing and/or Managed Care in US market 
  • Strong understanding of Marketing and Strategic planning
  • Proven proactive leadership skills and ability to collaborate across the organization 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Leadership and Collaboration, Business Acumen, and Bias for Action, Developing Talent

  • Hospital/specialty experience 
  • Hospital Formulary Process, and Access, In-depth knowledge of Hospital Market 
  • Payer marketing experience 
  • Previous People Management experience
  • Strategic Planning  - LROP and Annual Profit Planning, and Lifecycle Management
