Practice or research specialty/focus of the position: Pharmaceutics
Position Description: The Division of Pharmaceutics in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Toledo is seeking applications for a visitingfaculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level with an anticipated start date in July 2019. We are interested in a wide variety of research emphases in pharmaceutics. The successful candidate will complement the existing research strengths in biopharmaceutics, pharmacoengineering, cosmetics, and drug delivery. Faculty in the division are actively engaged in teaching students in BSPS Cosmetic Science and BSPS Pharmaceutics, PharmD and Masters in Industrial Pharmacy programs.
Responsibilities of the successful candidate will primarily be contribution to the teaching mission of the college through the BSPS, Masters and PharmD programs, mentor undergraduate and graduate students and provide service to the college, university and profession.

Description of institution/organization: The University of Toledo offers degrees in several health sciences including pharmacy, nursing and medicine. The Department of Pharmacy Practice has ASHP-accredited residency programs in critical care, community and institutional pharmacy practice. Degrees conferred include: PharmD, BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Master’s degrees in Pharmacy Administration, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology and Toxicology, PhDs in Medicinal Chemistry and Experimental Therapeutics.
Candidates must have a PhD in a relevant major discipline; such as Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biopharmaceutics/Pharmacokinetics, Drug Delivery, or Pharmaceutical Technology and record of publication of their work in peer-reviewed journals.
