We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to assist in the development of novel cancer therapeutics in the Cancer Immunobiology Department at our Immuno-Oncology Research and Development Center of Excellence in New York City. The successful candidate is expected to have a broad knowledge of cancer immunology and vaccines with prior academic and/or industry experience and publications in the field. Do you desire to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to collaborate across functional areas? Main responsibilities include the development of in-vitro vaccine assays to validate tumor antigens, characterize antigen-specific T cells and explore vaccine combinations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute independently and in a team setting are required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the discovery and development of new cancer vaccines
Establish technologies and assays to evaluate the immunological potential of target antigens and combination strategies
Cell based assays: T cell activation, in vitro priming and expansion, antigen-specific T cell
Isolation and characterization, ELISPOT assays
Provide written and verbal communication of work, present data and data summaries internally and externally as needed
Lead and contribute in project team meetings
