Associate Scientist/Scientist, Drug Metabolism And Pharmacokinetics
The Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) department at Genentech is seeking a highly motivated individual who will be involved in the design and execution of non-clinical pharmacokinetic studies. These studies will enable the selection of small molecule candidates and provide assessment of their ADME characteristics in support of drug discovery and development. This position will require knowledge of ADME, with focus on PK and PK/PD modeling.
The individual will be involved in the following activities as part of their role:
Representation of DMPK at interdisciplinary project teams
Pharmacokinetic & pharmacodynamic data analysis and modeling
Support/report writing for IND and NDA filings
Who You Are
A PhD degree in pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism or other relevant field.
Good understanding of ADME with relevant laboratory skills and proven scientific expertise in this field.
Good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in multifunctional teams are essential.
Desirable: 0-2 years of relevant training or pharmaceutical industry experience as a DMPK project representative. Familiarity with various software packages such as MATLAB, ADAPT, SAAM II, and/or NONMEM is highly desired.
