Summary | The postdoctoral fellowship in pharmaceutical sciences at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) is supported by Davis Family Fund to Dr. Oyewumi. For the position, we seek a highly motivated and qualified scholar that is passionate about building their professional profiles prior to embarking on careers in the pharmaceutical industry or academia. The position is available immediately. This position is a full-time appointment within the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and will report to the principal investigator. Responsibilities include designing, conducting and analyzing scientific experiments in the field of advanced drug delivery, drug product development and cancer therapeutics. Successful candidates should be effective in presenting research results in oral and written formats, developing and maintaining knowledge of the current scientific literature. Operates highly independently. May supervise graduate students, professional student externs, and staff employees. Priorities will be given to candidates that have professional experience in publication writing. The qualified applicant must have strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently and conduct multiple experiments simultaneously. Qualifications | Education/Degrees: Ph.D., or expected Ph.D. by time of appointment, in pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical sciences or related fields. Knowledge in biomaterials, advanced drug delivery systems and cancer therapeutics will be an added advantage for the position. Experience: Research experience obtained via doctorate studies may include working with cells, rodent models of diseases. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in the application of a spectrum of laboratory and molecular biology techniques in field of pharmaceutical sciences. |
