A postdoctoral research associate position is available immediately in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Howard University for a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded research. A pharmaceutical scientist, biologist, pharmacologist or an applicant with a strong background in biological testing is the candidate needed for the position. Applicants should have received a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, biology, pharmacology, cancer research or related areas.

The work involves testing of drug-loaded nanoparticles in vitro and in a mouse model for its anticancer effects. In vitro cytotoxicity evaluations in cancer cell lines, cellular internalization studies using confocal laser scanning microscopy and flow cytometry for apoptosis, cell cycle analysis and binding studies.
