Post-doctoral Collegiate Fellows Program University of Michigan, College of Pharmacy
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Michigan invites applications for our Collegiate Fellows Program, designed for recent PhD and PharmD graduates. This postdoctoral program is part of the College’s broader commitment to supporting early-career scientists interested in pursuing academic careers. We believe that including scholars with diverse life experiences and perspectives strengthens the intellectual environment and advances excellence in STEM.
Program Overview During the fellowship, Collegiate Fellows will pursue independent research while participating in pedagogical and professional development activities. Fellows will receive individualized career guidance from a faculty mentor, including support for grant writing and submission, such as applications for NIH Student Loan Repayment programs.
Funding and Term Fellows receive a stipend aligned with the NIH postdoctoral fellowship scale, plus benefits. Additional funds for conference travel and research expenses are provided. Appointments are for 12 months and may be renewed for a second year based on academic productivity and participation in program activities. Fellows who have accepted a tenure-track faculty position or who hold other postdoctoral awards at the time of selection may be eligible for a one-year, non-renewable fellowship.
Eligibility and Expectations Applicants must: • Hold a PhD or PharmD from an accredited institution before the fellowship start date • Be in residence for the duration of the fellowship • Participate in departmental seminars and related activities • Meet regularly with their faculty mentor • Attend pedagogical and professional development programs
The University of Michigan College of Pharmacy has been leading at pharmacy’s edge for 150 years.
